Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant (Full-time) (#007)

Location: Charlotte, NC

 

Format: Hybrid (90% Remote Eligible)​

 

Schedule: Full-time (Will consider part-time)

Salary: DOE. You will be asked to provide your desired compensation when you complete the application.

Job Overview: We seek an early-career paralegal or legal assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be independent, a self-starter, patient with clients, and exceptional with people.
 

Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Assist with all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and post-trial.

  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information.

  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.

  • Manage case files and maintain organized records.

  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

  • Assist with trial preparation and attend trials as needed.

  • Provide support in corporate services, including preparing corporate documents.

  • Other tasks as necessary, as well as the occasional "personal assistant" duties, such as booking flights, etc.
     

Qualifications:
 

  • Paralegal certification or relevant degree. Significant paralegal experience may waive this requirement.

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.

  • Familiarity with North Carolina and/or South Carolina court procedures.

  • Experience in corporate services is a plus.
