DON BROWN, ESQ.
Founding Attorney
Don was born in Plymouth, North Carolina. A Washington County, North Carolina native, Don received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. Don continued his studies at the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, earning the Navy's nonresident certificate in International Law.
He is a former US Navy JAG Officer who served in the Pentagon, where he provided legal advice to the Secretary of the Navy and the Judge Advocate General of the Navy.
In 1999, Don opened Brown & Associates, PLLC. He now represents clients in North and South Carolina. In Don’s free time, he writes legal and military thrillers about the Navy. You can find all of his novels on amazon.com or visit his website at donbrownbooks.com.

THERESA "TERI" GYURA
Legal Assistant
Theresa "Teri" Gyura was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She has lived in the US since the 1990s.
Teri has two children, one of whom is a Navy veteran, and has lived in NC for the last 15 years and considers it to be home.
Teri has worked with Brown & Associates, PLLC for more than five years and has the unique gift of connecting with clients who are going through a difficult time.
When Teri is not working, she loves to bake and occasionally does so for small catering functions. She also loves to spend time with friends and visit local venues.
BRENDA AYCOTH
Office Manager and Client Accounts
Brenda Aycoth is the office manager and handles our client accounts and billing. She has been working with Brown & Associates for more than 20 years and keeps our office in compliance with state and federal requirements.
Ms. Aycoth has a BS in Accounting from Liberty University and became a CPA in 2012.
Ms. Aycoth likes to travel and spend time on the lake in her spare time.
